psw签证是由哪个部门负责?
Permanent Residence "Tier 2" visa 永居 Tier 2, this is what's known as the Points Based System. You can apply to switch your Tier 4 student visa into a Tier 2 work permit (and some visas allow you to do this at the end of the course, while others require you to leave the UK first). The immigration rules are pretty onerous and have changed several times since I was last in the country so if you want to work here, make sure that the firm for which you wish to work has applied to sponsor you under Tier 2. This process takes months or even years until it gets approved by the Home Office.
Once they are sponsored, all workers need to pay an annual fee of £300 (for up to five people)to cover their Immigration Skills Charge each year. They also need to buy appropriate health insurance which costs about GBP50 per month for themselves and any dependents. All these documents must be produced before starting employment with the company. If anyone ever asks for additional proof of sponsorship please ask them where they got this information from because we never request such things.
As far as I know there isn’t any government agency which oversees our employers; perhaps someone will correct me if I am wrong but my impression is that most companies simply hire us without bothering with the whole thing (or maybe some choose to go through the lengthy processes just out of habit); obviously there should always exists an HR department who deals specifically with immigration matters however, unlike some other countries(China?)our firms rarely have one. In fact many smaller ones don’t even provide any support whatsoever when it comes to applying for residence;it falls entirely upon ourselves. So how does one find good lawyers/advisors? Well luckily for us there is an amazing web resource called the Immigration Advice Service, not only does it offer legal advice over the phone for a reasonable charge (£199 for full consultation on Tier 2 application including production of all required paperwork), but more importantly it provides a list of qualified consultants whom they recommend throughout the country. Most places are quite expensive though – between £800-£1,00
